Appropriate use, as defined by law, may be made of material on this website, including quotation and attribution of protected material.
When quoting from the protected material, you must attribute the source of the quotation. you may not alter, modify or in any other fashion change the protected material, and may not do any other act which might diminish the value of the protected material in a manner which would cast aspersion on the creator of the protected material.

Trademark
"The Shalem Center," and other trademarks, logos and indicia of source displayed on Shalem.org.il (collectively "Trademarks") are owned by The Shalem Center. The Trademarks may not be used in connection with any product or service that does not belong to The Shalem Center or in any manner that is likely to cause confusion about whether The Shalem Center is the source, sponsor, or endorser of the product or service and may not be used in any manner that disparages or discredits The Shalem Center.

Links to Shalem.org.il, Frames, and Metatags
You may not link to the home page of Shalem.org.il in any way that might cast The Shalem Center in a false or misleading light. You may not frame Shalem.org.il content so that it is viewed on another site. You may not use metatags or any other "hidden text" that incorporates the name Shalem, "The Shalem Center" or the Trademarks without our express written consent.

Links to Other Web Sites
Our Site contains links to other web sites that contain information we think might interest you or from which you can order books. We have no control over these sites or their content. Remember that when you click on a link and leave Shalem.org.il for another site, you should read that site's terms of use and privacy policy before using the site.

Disclaimers
Although The Shalem Center intens to take reasonable steps to prevent the introduction of viruses, worms, "Trojan Horses" or other destructive materials to our site, we do not guarantee or warrant that our site or materials that may be downloaded from it are free from such destructive features. We are not liable for any damage or harm attributable to such features.

Limitation of Liability
The Shalem Center and our officers, Directors and Employees are not liable for any claim, loss or injury based on errors, omissions, interruptions or other inaccuracies in our site, nor for any claim, loss or injury that results your use of our site or your breach of any provision of this user agreement.

Termination
We reserve the right to terminate this User Agreement, including its Privacy Policy section, at any time without notice for any reason, including for a user's violation of any of the User Agreement provisions. The Limitation of Liability and Governing Law sections of this User Agreement survive any termination.

Agreement is Governed by the Laws of Israel
This User Agreement, including its Privacy Policy, and any claim or dispute relating to it is governed by the laws of Israel applicable to contracts made and performed there without regard to its conflicts of law principles. Any legal disputes pertaining to this website will be resolved in Jerusalem district courts.

Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is deemed unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision will be deemed severed and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provision.

 
Privacy Policy
We know that you care how information about you is used and shared. This Privacy Policy describes the way that we collect and handle information we collect on line from users of the Shalem.org.il Site. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into the User Agreement that governs the use of Shalem.org.il. By visiting Shalem.org.il or submitting your personally identifiable information to us, you accept the terms described in this Privacy Policy.

Changes to this Policy
From time to time we may revise this Privacy Policy. Please review these web pages periodically for changes. Collection and Use of Information
This section describes the types of information we collect and the purpose for collection.

Personally identifying information. We collect personally identifying information that you voluntarily submit in order to receive email alerts or postal mailings with our newsletter, program information, and information about our other services, to sign up for one of our events, and to make purchases online. To receive information, or sign up for the newsletter, we ask that you submit a few personal details. We use the personally identifiable information you submit solely to fulfill your requests. If you make purchases through Shalem.org.il, we collect your credit card information in addition to your name and addresses for billing and mailing. We retain your credit card information for only so long as we are required to do so by the applicable bank, after which time we will dispose of it in a secure manner.

Anonymous information. From our server, we automatically collect certain anonymous information, such as the number of users visiting each page of Shalem.org.il, the IP address of each user's computer, the browser each user employs, and the sites from which users link to Shalem.org.il. We may also use cookies to track traffic on specific areas of Shalem.org.il. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your web browser to enable our systems to recognize your computer. If you choose, you can remove our cookies by using the disabling function on your Internet browser. But if you remove our cookies, you will not be able to participate in any of the reader services that Shalem offers (e.g., online purchases). We use all this anonymous information on an aggregate basis to evaluate how our visitors use and navigate Shalem.org.il so that we can continue to refine our site. Transfer of Information to Israel
If you are located outside of Israel, please note that the information you provide to us will be transferred to Israel and that by registering with Shalem.org.il or ordering any of our products or services, you consent to this transfer and the storage, processing and use of this information in Israel, and the transfer of it to permitted third parties.

Sharing Information
We do not rent or sell your personally identifying information. The Shalem Center shares only names and mailing addresses and restricts disclosure solely to vendors responsible for mailing information. Those vendors must destroy your personal information after the mailing has been completed. If you do not wish us to share your information, please contact us at webmaster@shalem.org.il.
We also share your personally identifying information with companies that assist us in delivering electronic and postal mailings, provide maintenance for Shalem.org.il, or help facilitate our events. These companies will use your information solely to provide these services to us.
In the unlikely event of a transfer of ownership of The Shalem Center, such as merger with another organization, we reserve the right to transfer your personal information. Your choice not to share your information will not affect our right to transfer your personal information to a successor in these circumstances.
We may disclose and use personally identifiable information in special circumstances when it is necessary to enforce our User Agreement or this Privacy Policy, or when we, in good faith, believe that the law requires us to disclose your personal information to third parties.

Therefore you provide us with your information at your own risk.
